| Note: Bolt torque specs are dramatically affected by the type of lubricant applied to the threads. All of these torque specs are based on applying light engine oil to the threads and underneath the bolt head. If using a material like moly-lube, it will reduce friction and increase the bolt tension. This is especially critical on connecting rod bolts. The ideal method for tightening connecting rod bolts is to use the bolt stretch method where bolt elongation is measured. Always consult the bolt manufacturer when using a rod bolt stretch gauge. | ||
