| To obtain the optimum operating effeciency rate for a water pump at street speeds, it should be overdriven by 30 - 35 percent. Most aftermarket pullys are a 1:1 ratio. To achieve 30 - 35 percent overdrive of the pump, the crank pully should be approximately 7 7/8 inches, and the pump pully approximately 5 3/4 inches. | ||
